UFH PIPE 12 x 1.6mm Pert-Al-Pert Pipe, 160m Coil (Overlay Heavy Pipe)

Description

Outer Layer: PERT – Protects the aluminium core from expansion as it can withstand high temperatures whilst maintaining its strength.

2nd Layer: Adhesive layer – Permanently bonds the outer PE-RT layer to the aluminium core.

3rd Layer: Aluminium layer – thin layer of 0.25mm thick aluminium which provides a solid oxygen barrier to prevent corrosion of the heating system components and gives form retention when shaped.

4th Layer: Adhesive layer – Permanently bonds the inner PE-RT layer to the aluminium core.

Inner Layer: Inner layer of clear, smooth PE-RT. Preventing pressure drops from water flow, and preventing deposit accumulation and corrosion.

The Brenton® Pert-al-Pert multi-layer pipe consists of 5 layers, which can be formed by hand and maintains it’s shape and is suitable for general use in underfloor heating and low-temperature heating applications.

Linear expansion is closer to that of copper than any other plastic pipe (0.025mm/m x k). The aluminium core is 100% oxygen diffusion tight, therefore preventing the ingress of an oxygen.

The Pipe compensates and reduces snapback forces and heat expansion with changes of temperature. The system is designed for easy, safe and fast pipe installation with smooth, low friction bore roughness (k=0.0004).

The pipe’s service temperature is from between 40ºC – 95ºC with maximum working pressure of 10bar.
